California Caregiver Training Academy is based in Dixon, California and had been teaching, training, and educating caregivers since its inception in 2004. We exist to inspire and empower caregivers to discover within themselves that "CAREGIVING" is a calling and not just a job.
We have trained hundreds of caregivers since our establishment almost two decades ago and we take pride in making a difference in the lives of caregivers that we built through our training and personal development coaching. Formerly, California Caregiver Academy, we changed to California Caregiver Training Academy in 2021 after we moved out of Sacramento County to Solano County.

The California Home Care Services Consumer Protection Act
We are in compliance with AB 1217 Home Care Services Consumer Protection Act that became a law in October of 2013 and the training requirements effective January 01, 2016
We had been teaching and training caregivers since 2004 and when State of California mandated the required training after the law was passed in 2013, we were preparing ourselves to teach the Home Care Aides Training Certifications.
By 2016 we had already written our curriculum to meet the requirements by the California Home Care Services Consumer Protect Act.
Many caregivers still prefer a live classroom setting then to take an online training or watch videos to meet the Training requirements.
There are three ways to meet the HCA Training:
- Online training
- Video self study
- Live class training

Teaching and training caregivers was already a part of my vision and dream which materialized in 2004. We started to train caregivers and conducting workshops on different age related training topics and slowly adding on to our curriculum over the years.
We began with a one day training program then to two days by adding more topics. We eventually re-write our training certification to a full three days and named it Professional Homecare Certifications.

Our training certifications is approved by all Long Term Care Insurance Companies across the United States.
In 2015 the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS)approved our Training Certifications.
Our Certification meets the following:
- Professional Liability Insurance
- Dishonesty Bond
- Long Term Care Insurance
- Knowledge & Skills to be a Professional Caregiver.
